Fiscal Year 

The fiscal year of the Spring Hill Recreation Commission begins July 1 and will continue until midnight, June 30, the following year. 

Annual Budget 

The annual budget comprises of three separate funds; the General Operating Fund, Employee Benefit Fund, and the Capital Improvement Projects Fund. 

  • General Operating Fund/Tax Account: General Operating Fund is based on a mill levy of the Unified School District USD 230 tax base; pursuant to K.S.A. 12-1927 (a), plus other revenues such as reimbursement fees, donations, and other miscellaneous charges.
  • Employee Benefit Fund: Employee Benefit Fund has been established for the purpose of paying the employer's share of any employers' benefits, exclusive of any salaries, wages, or other direct payments to employees; pursuant to K.S.A. 12-1928 (j).
  • Capital Improvement Projects Fund: The Capital Improvements Projects Fund has been established for the purpose of funding new facility construction or facility upgrades and repairs. The CIP Fund is funded with budget transfers from the General Operating Fund.
